I’m Mike Federali and this is my first New Music Monday column for AltDaily. Each week I’m bringing you new, FREE music from the best musicians in the area.
The plan was to bring you one new song from each band but our first featured band Crissy Babe and The Dastards blew me away with their offer of a free four song EP for your listening pleasure. The only thing better than free music is free GOOD music and that’s what you get with this EP.
I’ve been trying to come up with the perfect way to describe this band all week but each listen I come up with something else to say. The recording is raw in the best sense of the word.
It makes you feel like you are front row in an after hours juke joint while some crazy little band out of a Tim Burton dream just pounds it’s way through their raunchy set of cautionary tales and roof raisers.
